Sad to report that Shaun Grimes, universally known as ‘Lord Percy’, passed away in St Joseph’s Hospice last Saturday. Cremation will be in Hackney, the wake in Colchester.

Percy was a 30-games-a-season man in the 80s and 90s, playing mainly for Mike Waring’s Roundheads. Active on and off the pitch, he was a permanent feature at the frequent social events at Mill Road.

He was great company, and will be especially missed by his mates in the Quiz Team which held things together during lockdown. RIP Percy.
