A warm rugby welcome to the Colts section at Colchester Rugby Club.

Colchester Rugby Club runs a friendly and hard working Colts section. Led by three experienced coaches, players will be challenged to achieve their best and all will be given the opportunity to achieve their potential on the field of play. The Colts have a varied fixture schedule which allows the wider squad to play against different standards of opposition but will also strive to achieve success in the Eastern Counties and National Cup competitions.

Coaching sessions: Our Colts have their exclusive training on Thursday evenings at Mill Road Playing Fields with the senior (second year Colts) having the opportunity of training with the clubs's senior players on Tuesday evenings. After the Christmas break, in preparation for the various cup schedules, the whole Colts squad will train on both Tuesdays and Thursdays with again those identified players having the opportunity to train (and hopefully play) within the senior set-up. This coaching process reinforces the importance of Colts rugby at Colchester; having the Colts working within the Senior Rugby umbrella reinforces the coaching structure and encourages the pathway towards senior rugby.

Training commences at 19:00 prompt with players expected to be at the club and ready-to-go by 18:50.

Formal Matches: Games are on a Sunday, usually kicking off at 12.00 (but this timing may vary). Players will need to be at the club or opposition ground at least one hour before the scheduled kick-off time ready to start warming up. On game days, it is expected that players wear the club T-shirt and warm up top when arriving at the ground and to wear club tie and shirt once the game has finished.
